Raktim didn't give her a chance to say anything more. He placed his masculine lips over Sritama's thin, rosy ones. Startled by such an act, Sritama's eyes widened in surprise. Then she slowly closed them. An unfamiliar shiver ran through her body. It would have been better if things had stopped there. But within a few seconds, Raktim lifted Sritama's slender body in his arms and carried her toward the bed. He laid her down gently. Locking his eyes with hers, he pulled her closer by the waist and kissed her forehead.
"Srii.... Kya hua? Kis khyal mein gum ho gaye?"
Raktim asked curiously when he saw Sritama standing there, lost in thought.
(Hey, Srii...what happened? Where did you get lost all of a sudden?)
"Huh! Did you say something?" she snapped back to reality.
By then, Raktim had helped her down from the bed. Sritama didn't reply. Raktim, on the other hand, was stunned by her behavior.
"What happened all of a sudden? She was so lively just a moment ago!" he thought.
He placed a hand on Sritama's shoulder and made her sit on the bed. He poured some water into a glass from the bottle on the bedside table and held it up to her lips.
"Yah sab kyon kar rahe ho? Kya main koi patient hun? Hato samne se!"
Saying this, she pushed Raktim aside and walked out of the room.
(What are you doing all this for? Am I a patient or what? Move away!)
